Amazing tips to help you maintain your kitchen appliances in the best

The deep cleaning of your kitchen usually means that you need to tackle all surfaces, floors, walls, stove tops, and kitchen appliances. However, if you don’t regularly do that, some grime and stains may be incredibly tough and hard-to-remove.
If you struggle with figuring out a way to efficiently get rid of all the mess and restore your kitchen back to its original beautiful condition, keep reading this article. We will talk about some of the most common issues people find themselves dealing with on a regular basis.

1. The cleaning of your microwave’s bottom and turntable – You can find a whole gang of cooked-on spills all over the bottom of your microwave. To properly get rid of those, make a paste using 2 parts baking soda and 1 part water and apply it to the hardened grime. Let it dry for 5-10 minutes, then wipe it away with a wet cloth or a sponge along with the mess. To prevent spills from happening so often, use a cover for your plates/bowls when microwaving them. You can easily soften the hardened grease inside by placing a few wet paper towels and running your appliance on high. The steam will do the job for you.

2. For grease spills in your oven grab some salt – While you are checking on your beautiful roast, you may notice that some grease spilled over and ended up on the bottom of your oven. Before it has had the time to bake on and harden, sprinkle it with table salt. Do that, close the oven door, and continue roasting your meal. By the time the food is ready, the greasy spill will be a pile of ash that you can easily wipe away with a clean cloth or a paper towel.

3. Oven broiler pans can be a pain to clean – Instead of spending hours and hours scrubbing the burnt-on spilled from the pan, try using this hack. Take the pan out of the oven and fill it with hot water. Add a few drops of dishwashing detergent (use one with degreasing agents for the best results). You can also sprinkle powdered laundry detergent. Place paper towels on top of the detergent and let the pan sit like this for 15-30 minutes. Once you pour the soapy water out and remove the paper towels, all the burnt food will be super easy to remove.

4. If your oven rack does not glide in smoothly, it is maybe time to thoroughly clean the wall ridges they slide on as well. Scrub the ridges with soap-filled steel wool pads, then rinse and dry them before wiping them with vegetable oil to keep the racks gliding smoothly. If you struggle to thoroughly remove all particles and grime that may be found there, use a toothbrush or a toothpick to do that.

5. Cleaning oven racks can be made easy. Submerging a dirty oven rack in soapy water in the bathtub to loosen the grime is a common method of cleaning. It may be efficient but you will need to also clean the greasy bathtub afterwards. Instead, place the oven rack in a large, heavy-duty plastic trash bag and fill it halfway with 1/3 cup dishwashing liquid, 1 cup white vinegar, and hot water. Place the bag in a bathtub full of warm water for an hour. The rack should then be removed from the bag and scrubbed, rinsed, and air-dried.

6. For dirty stove top grates, use this hack – If something has baked onto your cast iron stovetop grates, wipe them with non-toxic oven cleaner and place them in your oven the next time you self-clean it. Remove and clean the surface.

7. To easily dissolve the tough stains, grime, and baked-on grease from the walls of your microwave, fill a heatproof glass bowl with water, microwave on high for 2 minutes, don’t open the door for another 2 minutes, and then wipe with a soft rag to dissolve the awful stubborn muck that collects on the walls of your microwave. The steam will have reconstituted the gross mess , making it easy to remove. To make the cleaning more powerful, you can add lemon juice to the water or simply place half a lemon in the bowl.

8. Whenever you are deep cleaning your stove, oven, and overall kitchen, do not forget your range hood exhaust filter. If you cook on a regular basis, grease will set in the filter, causing it to either not work so well or simply emit bad odour inside your kitchen. To clean the filter, remove it from the range hood above your stove once a month and spray it liberally with WD-40. After an hour, scrub it with a toothbrush before putting it in the dishwasher for a thorough cleaning. Make sure you clean the appliance on the outside as well.
